이 신문은 중국 민간항공총국 관리의 말을 인용해 항공사들이 중국에서 조종면허를 취득한 외국인 조종사들을 고용할 수 있을 것이라고 전했습니다.
중국은 지난 2000년 이래 매년 1200명에서 1600명 정도의 조종사를 필요로 하고 있지만 중국의 훈련기관들에서 배출하는 조종사 수는 필요인력의 절반에도 못미친다고 항공업계 전문가들은 밝히고 있습니다. 중국은 현재 항공업이 세계에서 가장 빠르게 성장하고 있는 나라입니다.

Chinese state media say the nation's airlines will soon be able to hire foreign pilots to relieve a shortage in the world's fastest-growing aviation sector.
The China Daily newspaper today (Thursday) quoted an official of the General Administration of Civil Aviation as saying Chinese airlines will be able to employ foreign pilots who obtain flight licenses in China.
The report said the pilots will have to pass strict examinations.
The China Daily said China's commercial aviation industry, formerly a state monopoly, is growing faster than the country can train pilots.
Aviation experts estimate China has needed between 12-hundred and 16-hundred new pilots every year since 2000, more than double the number of pilots that Chinese aviation schools train yearly.
