British police say two suspects in last week's failed transit bombings in London are immigrants from Somalia and Eritrea.
Authorities today (Tuesday) said the Eritrean is a naturalized British citizen, and the Somali national was legally allowed to live in Britain. They said both men have been living in Britain for more than 10 years.
They are among at least four suspects being sought in the failed bombings.
Also today, Prime Minister Tony Blair said the world must stop letting terrorists use any issue or cause to justify their attacks. He said the world must make progress on issues used by terrorists, but that any such grievance must not be used to justify terrorist attacks.
On July seventh, suicide bombers hit three London subways and a bus, killing 52 people and four bombers.
