북한은 이달 말로 예정된 북핵관련 4차 6자 회담에서 일본과 협상하지 않을 것이라고 말했습니다.
북한은 일본이 차기 6자 회담에서 일본인 납치 문제를 제기할 계획이라는 사실을 그 이유로 지적하며 이 같이 말했습니다.
북한 외무성 대변인은 20일 관영 조선 중앙 통신을 통해 발표한 성명에서 “일본은 지금까지 6자 회담을 방해해 왔다”며 오는 7월 26일 재개될 6자 회담에서 아무것도 얻을 수 없을 것이라고 말했습니다.
일본 당국은 6자 회담에서 북한에 납치된 일본인들의 생사에 관한 정보가 제기돼야 한다고 말해 왔습니다.
일본 당국은 1980년대 북한이 첩보원 양성 목적으로 납치한 일본인들 가운데 적어도 8명이 은닉된체 생존해 있는 것으로 믿고 있습니다.
그러나 북한 당국은 납치한 13명 가운데 8명은 사망했으며 5명은 일본으로 송환했다고 말하고 있습니다.
북한의 과거 일본인 납치 문제를 북핵관련 4차 6자 회담에서 거론할 계획을 이유로 일본과 협상하지 않을 것이라고 말했습니다.

North Korea says it will not deal with Japan at the six-party nuclear disarmament talks because of Tokyo's plan to bring up North Korea's past abductions of Japanese citizens.
North Korea's state news agency (KCNA) says Japan has so far "stood in the way" of the six-nation talks and will find nothing to do at the negotiations, which are set to resume on July 26th in Beijing.
Japanese officials have said they will press North Korea to turn over information on the fate of the abducted Japanese citizens at the talks.
Japan believes at least eight of its nationals kidnapped by North Korean agents in the 1980s to train spies are still alive but have been hidden.
Pyongyang has admitted to 13 abductions, allowing five to return home. North Korea says the others are dead.
