미 항공 우주국, 나사는 13일 오후로 예정했던 우주 왕복선 디스커버리호의 발사를 연료 탱크 감지기의 결함 때문에 취소했습니다.
나사는 외부 연료 탱크에 있는 4개의 엔진 가동 중단 감지기중 하나에 문제가 있다고 밝혔습니다. 앞서 12일 나사 기술자들은 디스커버리호의 임시 플라스틱 창문 커버가 떨어져나와 내열 타일 여러 개가 약간 파손된 것을 보수했습니다.
나사는 새로운 발사 일자를 발표하지않았습니다. 그러나 나사 관계자들은 14일에 발사를 다시 시도할 가능성을 배제하지않는다고 말하고있습니다.
이들은 우주 왕복선의 재 발사 시간대는 2주간이라고 말하고 있습니다. 디스커버호의 발사는 2년 반전의 컬럼비아호 우주 왕복선 공중 폭발 참사이래 최초의 미국 우주 왕복선 비행이 될 것입니다.

The U.S. space agency has called-off today's (Wednesday's) scheduled launch of the space shuttle Discovery because of a faulty fuel-tank sensor.
NASA has not announced a new launch date. NASA officials say they have not ruled out trying Thursday. They say they have a two-week window to try again.
The agency said the problem was with one of the four engine cut-off sensors in the external fuel tank.
The launch of Discovery will be the first U.S. space flight since the space shuttle disaster two-and-a-half years ago.
NASA grounded its entire shuttle fleet in February 2003 after the shuttle Columbia broke up in mid-air on its return to Earth, killing all seven astronauts on board.
