한국의 노무현 대통령은 북한의 핵 야심이 동북아 지역 평화의 가장 큰 위협이라고 25일 말했습니다.
노 대통령은 서울에서 재향 군인들을 만난 자리에서 북핵문제는 평화적으로 해결될 것이라고 말했습니다. 노 대통령은 평양 당국의 6자 회담 복귀를 촉구했습니다.
25일은 한국전이 발발한 지 55주년이 되는 날로 1953년 평화 협정이 아닌 휴전으로 끝난 이 전쟁으로 남북한은 엄밀한 의미에서 아직도 전쟁상탭니다.
북한은 남한, 미국, 러시아, 중국 그리고 일본이 참가하고 있는 6자 회담을 1년째 거부하고 있습니다.

South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun said today (Saturday) that North Korea's nuclear ambitions are the biggest threat to regional peace.
Mr. Roh told war veterans in Seoul that the North Korean nuclear issue would be peacefully resolved. He urged Pyongyang to return to six-party talks.
Saturday was the 55th anniversary of the start of the Korean War that ended in 1953 with a cease-fire -- not a peace treaty --leaving the two countries technically still at war.
The North has boycotted talks between the two Koreas, the United States, Russia, China and Japan for a year.
North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il recently said the talks could resume in July if Washington begins treating Pyongyang as a dialogue partner.
