일본 국회 중의원은 일본 자위대가 미사일 공격에 신속히 대응하도록 허용하는 법안을 승인했습니다.
일본 중의원에서 14일, 통과된 이 법안은 방위청 장관이 내각의 승인을 거치지 않은채 일본에 접근하는 미사일에 대한 요격명령을 내릴 수 있도록 허용하는 것을 골자로 하고 있습니다.
이 법안은 북한에서 일본을 목표로 발사되는 미사일이 10분 정도면 일본에 도달하기 때문에 이 같은 미사일 공격을 적시에 방어할 수 없게 될른지도 모른다는 우려가 제기됨에 따라 마련된 것입니다.
일본의 미사일 공격 신속대응법안은 집권 자민당이 역시 다수 의석을 차지하고 있는 국회 참의원에서도 통과될 것으로 예상됩니다.

Japan's lower house of parliament has approved legislation that would allow a swifter response to a missile attack, amid rising fears over North Korea's nuclear weapons program.
The bill, approved today (Tuesday) by lawmakers in Tokyo, allows Japan's defense minister to order the interception of incoming missiles without seeking approval from the cabinet.
The legislation now goes to the upper house, where it is widely expected to be approved under Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi's ruling coalition.
The measure was drafted amid concern that Tokyo would be unable to timely respond to an attack by neighboring North Korea, as a missile fired from the peninsula would take around 10 minutes to reach Japan.
Pyongyang has test-fired short range missiles several times in the past -- and in 1998 shocked the region when it fired a missile over Japan.
