방글라데시에서 지난 15일 여객선이 침몰한지 이틀 만인17일 150 여명을 태운 여객선이 전복되는 사고가 발생했습니다. 당국자들은 파브나 지역을 떠나 아리차 터미널로 향하던 이 여객선이 악천후로 전복됐다고 전했습니다.
구조대원들은 어린아이 시신 한구를 발견했으며 실종된 수십명을 찾고 있습니다. 앞서 15일에는 방글라데시 남부지역에서 악천후로 만원의 여객선이 침몰함으로써 적어도 60명이 숨지고 40여명은 여전히 실종 중에 있습니다.
방글라데시 전역에서 이번 폭풍우로 적어도 21명이 숨지고 천 3백 여명이 다쳤습니다. 강풍을 동반한 폭우로 수백채의 가옥이 파괴되고 나무들과 전봇대들이 넘어졌습니다.

The same storms were responsible for at least 21 deaths and more than 13-hundred injuries across Bangladesh. Heavy rains accompanied by strong winds flattened hundreds of homes and knocked down trees and electricity poles.
