미국과 영국 , 파키스탄 당국은 미국행 여객기 폭파 음모사건의 진상을 파악하기 위해 노력하고 있습니다.
영국과 파키스탄 관리들은 액체 폭발물을 반입해 최대 10여대의 영국발 미국행 여객기 폭파를 기도한 사건과 관련된 30여명의 용의자를 구금했습니다. 관리들은 용의자들이 다음주중 실행에 들어갈 계획이었다고 말했습니다.
파키스탄 관리들은 적어도 한명은 아프가니스탄내 알카에다와 연계되 있는 것으로 믿고 있다고 말하고 있습니다. 영국 정부는 지난 10일 영국에 있는 용의자 24명 가운데 19명의 자산을 동결했습니다. 이들 용의자들은 대부분 파키스탄계 영국인들로 그중 한명은 이후 석방됐습니다.

Authorities in the United States, Britain and Pakistan are working to uncover all the elements of a plot to blow up U.S.-bound flights.
British and Pakistani officials have detained more than 30 people suspected of planning to detonate liquid explosives aboard as many as 10 commercial planes from Britain to the U.S. Officials say the suspects were ready to act sometime next week. Pakistani officials say they believe one of the main suspects, British citizen Rashid Rauf, has links to al-Qaida in Afghanistan.
The British government has frozen the assets of 19 of the 24 suspects arrested in London Thursday, many of whom are Britons of Pakistani ancestry. One of the suspects was later freed. American counter-terrorism officials say hundreds of FBI agents have been looking for U.S. ties to the conspiracy, including calls British suspects made to the U.S.
