카르마 초펠 티베트 망명정부 의회 의장은 회의에 참석한 대다수는 현재의 중도적인 접근법을 계속하길 바란다고 말했습니다.
하지만 도마 쟈리 부의장은 티베트가 요구하는 의미 있는 자치권에 대해 만일 중국이 긍정적으로 대응하지 않는다면, 티베트 인들은 "완전한 독립"을 추구할 것이라고 말했습니다.
티베트의 정신적 지도자인 달라이 라마는 오랫동안 "중도"를 추구했습니다.

Hundreds of Tibetan exiles meeting in India have agreed to keep following the Dalai Lama's path of compromise in negotiations with China.
Six hundred Tibetan delegates from around the world ended a week-long meeting in the town of Dharamsala today (Saturday), saying they will try to achieve autonomy for the region, rather than independence from China.
Speaker of the parliament in exile, Karma Chophel, said a majority of participants at the meeting favor a continuation of the present middle-way approach.
However, deputy speaker Doma Jyari said if China does not respond positively to Tibetan demands for meaningful autonomy, the Tibetans will pursue "complete independence."
The Dalai Lama, Tibet's spiritual leader in exile, has long sought what has been called "the middle way" for the remote Himalayan region.
