중국 언론들은 원자바오 중국 총리가 파키스탄의 아시프 알리 자르다리 대통령을 만난 자리에서 이같은 약속을 했다고 보도했습니다.
중국 외교부의 칭강 대변인은 원자바오 총리와 자르다리 대통령의 회담이 끝난뒤 기자들에게 중국은 능력이 닿는 한 파키스탄을 지원할 준비가 돼 있다고 밝혔습니다. 칭강 대변인은 그러나 구체적인 지원 내용에 대해서는 언급하지 않았습니다.
중국을 방문 중인 자르다리 대통령은 어제 후진타오 주석과 경제, 통상, 광업, 농업 분야의 10개 협력방안에 관한 협정에 서명했습니다.

China has promised to do all it can to help longtime ally Pakistan overcome its
financial difficulties.
Reports from Beijing today (Thursday) say Chinese Premier Wen Jibao made
the promise during a meeting with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, who is
visiting China.
A spokesman for China's Foreign Ministry, Qin Gang, told reporters after the
meeting that China is ready to support Pakistan "within its
capability." He did not specify what kind of assistance Beijing would
provide.
On Wednesday, Pakistan's president and his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao signed
more than 10 deals on cooperation in areas including economy, trade, mining and
agriculture.
Mr. Zardari is seeking economic agreements and assistance in an effort to save
Pakistan from economic collapse.
