필리핀 보건 당국이 중국산 유제품에서 공업용 화학물질 멜라민을 검출했다고 밝혔습니다.
필리핀의 프란치스코 두크 보건장관은 시중 판매를 금지한 중국산 유제품 30개 가운데 두 개에서 멜라민이 검출됐다고 밝혔습니다. 멜라민이 검출된 제품들은 필리핀 당국이 2주전 중국산 유제품 수입을 금지한 뒤 밀반입된 것으로 밝혀졌습니다.
두크 장관은 판매 금지됐던 28개 제품은 문제가 없는 것으로 밝혀졌고, 다른 2백개 제품들에 대해 현재 검사를 진행 중이라고 덧붙였습니다.
한편 러시아 당국은 하바로스크에서 2톤에 가까운 중국산 분유를 압류했습니다. 러시아 당국은 지난 30일 우유 성분이 함유된 중국산 식품의 수입을 금지했습니다.

Philippine health officials say two
Chinese-made milk products have tested positive for an industrial chemical that
has sickened thousands of children and triggered China's latest product safety
scandal.
Health Secretary Francisco Duque says the two products were among 30 that have
been removed from Philippine stores and tested for melamine. Duque says the
products were smuggled into the country after Manila imposed a ban on Chinese
milk products two weeks ago.
He says the 28 products have been cleared for sale, while 200 other products
will undergo testing. The minister says a Manila supermarket will be shut down
for violating the ban.
Meanwhile, Russian authorities say they have seized almost two tons of banned
Chinese milk powder in Khabarovsk. Moscow banned Chinese food products
containing milk derivatives Tuesday.
