미국 뉴욕에서 열리고 있는 제 63차 유엔총회에서 27일 각국의 외무장관들이 연설하는 특별 회의가 열립니다.
러시아, 사우디 아라비아, 이집트, 시리아 그리고 북한의 장관들을 비롯한 고위 관료들이 이날 유엔에서 연설을 할 것으로 예정돼 있습니다.
지난 23일 개막한 유엔 총회에서 각국 대표들은 금융 시장의 혼란, 식량과 유가 급등, 기후 변화를 비롯한 각종 국제 위기에 대응할 것을 촉구했습니다.
유엔 총회 일반토론 4일째인 26일 고든 브라운 영국 총리는 모든 국가들이 힘을 합치지 않으면 세계적인 문제들을 해결할 수 없다고 말했습니다. 브라운 총리는 국제 금융 시장을 안정시키기 위해 조속한 행동을 촉구했습니다.
마흐무드 압바스 팔레스타인 자치정부 수반은 이스라엘과 평화를 이루는 것에 전념하고 있다고 밝히면서 부분적이거나 임시적인 해법들은 오히려 평화 정착 과정을 해칠 것이라고 말했습니다.

The United Nations General Assembly is holding a special session today (Saturday)
during which foreign ministers will address the world body.
Ministers from Russia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Syria and North Korea are among the
senior officials scheduled to speak at the general debate in New York.
Throughout the week, world leaders have called for an international response to
global crises, including turmoil in financial markets, skyrocketing food and
fuel prices, and climate change.
On Friday, the fourth day of the U.N. general debate, British Prime Minister
Gordon Brown said the world's problems can not be resolved unless nations act
together. He also called for urgent action to stabilize world financial
markets.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said he is committed to peace
with Israel, but said partial or interim solutions will undermine the peace
process.
