이라크 딜라야 지방의 자룰라 시에서 26일 자살폭탄테러가 발생해 최소 28명이 사망하고 최소 40명이 부상했습니다.
이라크 경찰은 폭탄물이 장착된 조끼를 입은 범인이 이 날 경찰관 모집 사무실까지 차량을 운전했으며, 차량에서 나와 군중 속으로 뛰어들어 자폭했다고 밝혔습니다. 사망자 가운데 대다수는 경찰관 지망자들이었다고, 당국은 밝혔습니다.
또 사담 후세인 전 이라크 대통령의 고향인 티크리트시에서도 이 날 차량 폭탄 테러가 발생해 4명이 사망했습니다.
경찰은 사망자 가운데 최소 3명은 경찰이라며 이번 폭발은 정부 건물 인근에서 이른 아침에 발생했다고 밝혔습니다.
앞서 누리 알 말리키 이라크 총리는 바그다드에서 부족 지도자들에게 미국과 이라크 협상단은 모든 외국군이 오는 2011년 말까지 이라크를 떠나기로 합의했다고 밝혔습니다.
말리키 총리는 미국과의 안보 협정에는 철수 날짜를 확정해 포함해야 한다고 말했습니다. 말리키 총리는 또 미군이 이라크 법령에 대한 완전한 면책 특권을 가져야 한다는 미국 측의 요구에 반대한다고 말했습니다.
한편, 미국 당국자들은 철군 계획에 대한 최종 협의는 이뤄지지 않았다고 밝혔습니다.

Police in Iraq
say a suicide bomber has killed at least 28 people in the town of Jalula, in
violent Diyala province.
Authorities say a bomber, wearing an explosive vest, drove up to a police
recruitment station today (Tuesday)and was stopped there. Police say he
leapt from his vehicle and ran into a crowd of people, where he blew himself
up.
At least 40 people were wounded. Authorities said many of the dead were Iraqis
hoping to join the police.
In Tikrit, four people - including policemen - died in a car bomb explosion.
Police say the explosion took place near a government office.
On Monday, Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki told a group of tribal leaders
in Baghdad that U.S. and Iraqi negotiators have agreed that all foreign troops
should leave Iraq by the end of 2011. He told them that a security deal with
the United States must include a specific withdrawal date, not an open one.
