유엔과 아프리카연합이 주도하는 수단내 다르푸르지역 평화유지군에 에디오피아군이 참가한다고 유엔이 밝혔습니다.
제 1차 평화유지군은 16일 북 다르푸르의 수도인 알-파시르에 도착할 예정이었습니다.
유엔은 추가 병력이 다르푸르 서부 지역에 파병돼 식수 시스템과 전선을 설치할 예정이라고 말했습니다.
다르푸르 내 유엔과 아프리카 연합 평화유지군은 현재 1만명의 군인들과 경찰들로 구성돼 있습니다.
다르푸르 사태로 지금까지 3십만명 이상이 숨지고 2백 5십만명이 집을 잃었습니다. 수단은 서방세계와 언론들이 다르푸르 사태를 과장하고 있다고 비난하고 있습니다.

The United Nations says the contingent will be deployed to Kulbus and Silea in West Darfur where they will install water systems and electric power lines.
The U.N.-African Union force in Darfur currently includes about 10-thousand soldiers and police -- less than half of the number originally envisioned.
The Darfur conflict has killed as many as 300-thousand people and displaced two-point-five million others. Sudan accuses Western governments and the media of exaggerating the conflict.
