아프가니스탄에서 연합군의 공습으로 경찰관 9명이 사망한 사건이 발생했습니다.
파라 주의 모하마드 유누스 라술리 부지사는 이 공격은 외국군 병력이 현지 관계관들에게 알리지도 않고 이 지역에 진입한 뒤인 20일 동트기 전 아나르 데라 지역에서 발생했다고 전했습니다.
라술리 부지사는 경찰이 이들 연합군을 탈레반 민병대들인 것으로 오인해 이들을 향해 발포했다고 말했습니다.
그는 이들 연합군이 그후 공군의 지원을 요청하자 얼마 되지 않아 공습이 단행돼 경찰관 9명이 숨지고 현지 경찰국장을 포함해 적어도 4명이 부상했다고 덧붙였습니다.
북대서양조약기구, 나토와 미군 연합군 관계관들은 이번 사건을 조사 중에 있다고 말했습니다.

Afghan officials say international air strikes have killed nine Afghan policemen in a clash in which each side misidentified the other's fighters as the enemy.
The deputy governor of Farah province (Mohammad Younus Rasuli) says fighting erupted in the Anar Derah district before dawn Sunday after foreign troops entered the area without informing local officials. He says the police then opened fire on coalition troops, thinking they were Taliban militants.
The Afghan government official says the foreign troops called for air support, and strikes launched by warplanes a short time later killed nine policemen and wounded at least four others, including a district police chief.
NATO and U.S. coalition officials say they are investigating the incident.
