조지 부시 미국 대통령은 다음 주 일본에서 열리는 주요 8개국 G8 정상회의에서 러시아의 드미트리 메드베데프 대통령과 회담할 예정이라고 백악관이 3일 밝혔습니다.
백악관의 데이나 페리노 대변인은 두 정상이 미국의 동유럽 미사일 방어체제 구축 계획과 러시아의 세계무역기구 WTO 가입문제를 논의할 것이라고 말했습니다.
부시 대통령은 또 인도의 만모한 싱 총리와 만나 미국과 인도간 민간 핵협력과 지구 온난화, 무역 등을 논의할 계획입니다.
부시 대통령은 일본 북부 도시 홋카이도에서 오는 7일 부터 사흘간 열릴 예정인 G8 정상회의에 참석하기 위해 5일 워싱턴을 떠납니다.
한편, 부시 대통령은 오는 28일 백악관에서 파키스탄의 유수프 라자 길라니 총리와 회담해 테러척결과 경제개발, 지역협력을 논의할 예정이라고 페리노 대변인이 말했습니다.

The White House says U.S. President George Bush will meet with his Russian counterpart, Dmitri Medvedev, during next week's Group of Eight summit in Japan.
White House spokeswoman Dana Perino says the two are to discuss missile defense and Russia joining the World Trade Organization.
She says Mr. Bush also looks forward to learning more about President Medvedev's domestic priorities for strengthening rule of law in Russia and exploring ways to reduce tensions and build peace and security in the region, including in Georgia's separatist region of Abkhazia.
She says Mr. Bush is to also meet with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to discuss a U.S.-India civilian nuclear cooperation initiative, climate change, trade talks, agriculture, and Asia-Pacific democracy.
Mr. Bush departs Washington Saturday for the three-day summit in northern Japan that begins Monday.
U.S. President George Bush is to host Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani at the White House later this month for talks on counterterrorism, economic development and regional cooperation.
White House Press Secretary Dana Perino says Mr. Bush welcomes the opportunity to talk to the prime minister about ways to further advance bilateral cooperation.
In a statement, the spokeswoman said the U.S.-Pakistan strategic partnership is grounded firmly in the shared objectives of promoting democracy and combating extremism.
The meeting is set for July 28th.
