이번 파업에 앞서 노조들은 병원직원들과 세관관리 그리고 세리들에게도 파업동참을 촉구했습니다.
싸르코지대통령정부는 공공지출을 억제하고 프랑스 국가 예산에 균형을 기하기 위해 일자리감축과 연금제도개혁이 필요하다고 말하고 있습니다.

French teachers and other public sector workers have launched a one-day labor strike to protest against job cuts and reforms proposed by the conservative government of President Nicolas Sarkozy.
The strike, carried out today (Thursday) in major cities across the country, is the latest in a spate of public sector job actions since Mr. Sarkozy took office last year.
Union leaders say about 60 percent of the country's 740-thousand teachers were participating in today's strike, while government officials place the teacher participation figure at 39 percent.
Ahead of the strike, unions had also called on hospital workers, customs and tax officials and cultural sector workers to join the strike.
The Sarkozy government says the job cuts and pension reforms are necessary to rein in public spending and eventually balance the French budget.
