Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin presented President Dmitry Medvedev with his proposed new Cabinet line-up today (Monday) after taking over the job last week.
Mr. Putin retained several ministers, including Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. He also kept Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov and Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin in their positions.
Russia's Itar-Tass reports that President Medvedev has indicated the new Cabinet could be finalized later today, quoting the president as saying he has been working closely with Mr. Putin and others on the ministries for the past two months.
