이란은 유엔 안전보장이사회가 이란에 대해 추가제재를 가할 경우, 심각한 결과를 초래할 것이라고 경고했습니다.
이란의 마누셰르 모카티 외무장관은 28일, 테헤란에서 가진 기자회견에서 이같이 밝혔습니다. 그의 경고는 이번 주에 유엔 안전보장이사회가 이란에 대한 세번째 제재를 논의하기에 앞서 나온 것입니다.
앞서 독일과 유엔 안전보장이사회의 영국, 프랑스, 미국, 러시아, 중국 등 5개 상임이사국은, 우라늄 농축 활동 중단을 거부하고 있는 이란에 대해 추가제재를 가하기로 합의했습니다.
미국은 추가제재 결의안에는 이란 관계자들의 여행 금지와 일부 품목의 수출제한, 이란 자산의 동결 등이 포함될 것이라고 밝혔습니다.
한편, 러시아는 28일, 이란 부쉐르 원자력발전소에 대한 여덟번째이자 마지막 핵연료 선적분을 공급했다고 밝혔습니다.
Iran says there will be "serious consequences" if the U.N. Security Council places
more sanctions on Iran for refusing to stop its uranium enrichment program.
Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki made the comments during a press conference
in Tehran today (Monday).
His warning comes ahead of an expected Security Council meeting this week to
discuss a possible third set of sanctions against Iran.
Diplomats from six world powers have agreed to present the proposed sanctions to
the full U.N. Security Council.
The United States says the fresh resolutions will ban travel by certain Iranian
officials, limit the export of some items, and freeze Iranian assets.
Also today (Monday), Russia announced that it has made its eighth and last fuel
delivery for Iran's nuclear power plant at Bushehr.
