지난해 중국의 경제 성장률이 11.4%를 기록하며 5년 연속 연 10% 이상의 초고속성장을 이어갔습니다.
중국 국가통계국은 24일, 지난해 국내총생산은 24조8,619위안으로 그 전년에 비해 11.4% 증가했다고 밝혔습니다.
그러나 통계국은 지난해 소비자물가 상승률이 11년만에 최고치인 4.8%를 기록해 물가억제가 올해의 최우선과제가 될 것이라고 말했습니다.
셰푸잔 국가통계국장은 분기별로는 2분기가 11.9%로 최고 성장률을 보였으나 4분기에는 11.2%로 다소 진정됐다고 말했습니다.
셰푸잔 국장은 지난해 중국의 무역액이 24% 증가해 2,620억달러의 무역흑자를 기록했다고 밝혔습니다.
이같은 무역흑자 확대가 미국과 유럽연합과의 분쟁의 초점이 되고 있습니다.

China says its economy grew more than 11 percent last year, despite efforts to slow it down.
The National Bureau of Statistics made the announcement today (Thursday). It said that because inflation is at an 11-year high, controlling price increases will be a key priority this year.
Bureau Commissioner Xie Fuzhan said the second quarter of last year had the highest growth, with a slight cooling toward the end of the year. He said total trade volume rose nearly 24 percent, nearly doubling China's trade surplus to 262 billion dollars.
That trade surplus has been a point of contention with both the United States and the European Union.
China's overall economy activity totaled three-point-four trillion dollars for 2007.
