일본의 칸사이 전력은 26일 카자흐스탄의 국영 카자톰프롬 사와 우라늄 공정에 대한 협력 합의에 조인할 예정입니다.
이 합의에 따르면 카자흐스탄은 우라늄을 자국 내 원자력 발전소에 필요한 핵 연료로 공정하고, 일본은 카자톰프롬의 시설 현대화를 지원하게 됩니다.
카자흐스탄은 세계 최대의 우라늄 자원 보유국 가운데 하나로 알려져 있습니다.

Kazakhstan and Japan are planning to cooperate on a nuclear project.
Japan's Kansai Electric Power Company is set to sign an agreement today (Wednesday) with Kazakh state-owned nuclear firm Kazatomprom for cooperation in uranium processing.
Kazakhstan will process its uranium into nuclear fuel needed for Kansai's nuclear power plants. In exchange, the Japanese company will help pay to upgrade Kazatomprom's facility.
No financial details have been disclosed.
Kazakhstan has one of the world's largest uranium reserves.
