인도네시아 기상청은 14일 수마트라 남부 해저에서 규모 6.9의 지진이 다시 발생했면서 쓰나미 경보를 발령했습니다.
기상청은 이날 지진이 벵쿨루 남서쪽 153km 지점에서 발생했다고 밝혔습니다.
수마트라에서는 지난 12일 규모 8.4의 강진이 발생한 뒤 여진이 계속되고 있습니다.
현지 소식통에 따르면 이번 지진으로 10여명이 사망하고 건물 수백채가 무너졌습니다.
인도네시아의 수실로 밤방 유도요노 대통령은 비상 대책회의를 열고 한시적인 비상사태를 선포했습니다.
이에 앞서 지난 2004년 12월에는 인도양에서 발생한 쓰나미로 인도네시아에서는 23만명의 사상자가 발생했습니다.

Sumatra has been hit by a series of powerful earthquakes and aftershocks since a magnitude eight-point-four quake struck on Wednesday. Several tsunami warnings have been issued and lifted since then.
Relief and rescue teams have been surveying the damage on Sumatra island. The latest death toll from the earthquakes stands at 10. Hundreds of buildings have also collapsed.
In December 2004, a tsunami triggered by an underwater earthquake killed an estimated 230-thousand people near Indian Ocean coastlines, including more than 160-thousand people in Indonesia's Aceh province.
