A team from the U.N. nuclear agency has begun four days of talks in Iran to develop a plan for future international inspections of Iran's nuclear facilities.
Iran's state-run IRNA news agency said the four-member team from the International Atomic Energy Agency arrived in Tehran today (Monday) to start the talks with Iranian officials.
The talks are aimed at producing a framework for future inspection of the uranium enrichment plant at Natanz in central Iran. It is Iran's most sensitive nuclear facility.
The U.N. wants to ensure that Iran's nuclear facilities are not being used to produce nuclear weapons or components for them.
Iran says its nuclear program is to produce energy. The United States and its allies accuse Iran of trying to develop nuclear weapons.
