최근 소형 목선을 타고 일본에 입항한 탈북자 4명이 1차 조사를 마친 뒤 이민국 시설로 옮겨졌다고 일본 관리들이 말했습니다. 탈북자들은 일본의 출입국관리난민법에 따라 6개월간 일본에 체류할 수 있는 비자를 발급받은 뒤 적절한 조치를 통해 한국으로 이송될 예정입니다.
일본 경찰은 오늘(6일) 헬리콥터를 통해 탈북자들을 아오모리현의 경찰서에서 도쿄 인근에 있는 이바라키현의 이민국 보호시설로 이송했습니다.
이 탈북자가족은 지난달말 소형 목선을 타고 청진을 출발해 지난 2일 일본의 아오모리현 후카우라항에 도착했습니다. 탈북자 4명은 배고픔을 피해 한국에 가길 원했으나 북한 당국의 철저한 해상 감시망을 피해기 위해 방향을 일본으로 돌렸다고 일본당국에 말했습니다. *
한국정부는 이들 탈북자들을 인도주의적 차원에서 받아들일 것이라고 말했습니다.
그러나 일본의 아소 다로 외상은 5일 일본당국은 이들이 진짜 탈북자인지 아니면 위장난민인지의 여부를 조사하기 위해 좀 더 시간이 필요하다고 말했습니다.

Japanese officials say four North Koreans who drifted to Japan in a wooden boat are being moved to an immigration facility, from where they are expected to be transferred to South Korea.
Police are transferring the family today (Wednesday) by helicopter from a police station in Aomori prefecture to an immigration facility in Ibaraki prefecture, near the capital, Tokyo.
The family landed at a port in Aomori on Saturday, June 2nd, after a six-day voyage. They have told authorities they left impoverished conditions in North Korea with hopes of reaching the South. They said they changed their plans and headed to Japan because of concerns over heavy maritime security by both Koreas.
South Korea says it will accept the group, but Japan's foreign minister (Taro Aso) said Tuesday authorities need more time to determine whether the four are actually refugees.
