프랑스에서 22일 실시된 대통령 선거 잠정 개표 결과에서는 우파의 니콜라스 사르코지 후보와 사회당의 세골렌 루아얄 후보가 결선 투표에 진출하게될 것으로 나타났습니다.
4개의 민간 여론 조사 기관들로 부터 나온 1차적인 출구 조사 결과에서는 우파의 니콜라스 사르코지 후보와 사회당의 세골렌 루아얄 후보가 각각 1, 2위를 차지하고 있는 것으로 나타났습니다.
이같은 잠정 결과가 계속될 경우 이들 두 후보는 오는 5월 6일 결선 투표를 치르게 될 것입니다.
선거 전에 실시된 여론 조사 결과들에서는 12명의 후보들이 나선 이번 대선에서 사르코지 후보와 루아얄 후보가 선두를 다툴 것으로 나타났습니다.
그러나 같은 여론 조사에서 응답자 가운데 3분의 1정도가 후보 선정을 하지 않은 상태라고 답함으로써 다른 후보들에게도 희망을 안겨주고 있습니다.

Initial projections from France's presidential poll show right-winger Nicolas Sarkozy and Socialist candidate Segolene Royal headed for a runoff vote.
The early projections from four private polling firms showed Sarkozy and Royal finishing first and second in Sunday's vote. If those projections hold, the two candidates will take part in a runoff May sixth.
Pre-election surveys showed Sarkozy and Royal likely to top the field of 12 candidates. But those same surveys showed about one-third of the electorate undecided, giving hope to centrist Francois Bayrou and far-right candidate Jean-Marie Le Pen.
Analysts say voter turnout was heavy, with 75 percent of the country's 44-point-five million voters having already cast ballots an hour before polls closed.
The candidates are competing to succeed 12-year incumbent President Jacques Chirac.
