유엔의 국제원자력기구, IAEA는 이란이 지하시설에서 우라늄 농축을 시작했다고 밝혔습니다.
국제원자력기구는 또한 이란이 나탄츠 발전소에서 우라늄 농축을 위한 1천개의 원심분리기를 설치했다고 말했습니다.
IAEA는 이같은 주장을 비공개문서에서 밝혔습니다.
우라늄 농축과정은 핵원자로나 핵무기 제조에서 연료를 만들어내는데 이용될 수 있습니다.
지난 주에 이란은 우라늄 농축에서 사업용 규모에 도달했다고 밝혔습니다. 그러나 핵전문가들은 이란이 아직 그 정도의 수준에는 이르지 못했다고 말했습니다.

The United Nations nuclear agency says Iran has started enriching uranium at an underground facility.
The International Atomic Energy Agency also says Iran has set up more than one-thousand centrifuges for enrichment at the plant at Natanz. The IAEA made the claim in a confidential document.
The enrichment process can be used to create fuel for nuclear reactors or in the creation of nuclear weapons.
Last week, Iran said it had reached an industrial scale in uranium enrichment. But nuclear experts said Iran's program was not yet at that level.
The United States and its allies have accused Iran of trying to develop atomic weapons. Iran says its nuclear program is for the peaceful production of energy.
