퍼블릭 어젠다의 루스 우든 회장은 이같은 결과는 현 미국 외교정책에 대한 일반 대중의 신뢰가 위기에 처했음을 보여주는 것이라고 지적했습니다.
우든 회장은 응답자의 단지 8% 만이 이란에 대한 군사행동을 지지했다고 말하고, 이라크에서 12개월 안에 미군을 철수하는 것에 대해서는 응답자의 70%가 찬성했다고 덧붙였습니다.

A newly published survey says declining American public support for the war in Iraq is
leading to an increasingly negative public opinion of the use of military force in global
conflicts.
The joint poll by non-profit organization Public Agenda and U.S. foreign policy publication Foreign Affairs found that Americans are strongly opposed to resorting to military force around the world.
The president of Public Agenda (Ruth Wooden) said the results show what she called a public "crisis of confidence" in the current direction of U.S. foreign policy.
She said only eight percent of the respondents supported possible military action against Iran. But she said 70 percent of the respondents favored a U.S. withdrawal from Iraq within 12 months.
