인도네시아 보건 당국은 인도네시아에서 조류독감으로 또 다시 3명이 사망했다고 밝혔습니다.
인도네시아 보건부는 28일 인도네시아 제 2의 도시인 수라바야에서 서른 아홉살 난 한 남자가 조류독감으로 사망했다고 말했습니다. 이번 주 초에 한 10대 소년과 스물두살 난 여자가 역시 조류독감으로 사망했습니다.
조류독감은 다른 어느 나라보다 인도네시아에서 많은 사망자를 가져왔습니다. 인도네시아 당국은 조류독감으로 지금까지 69명이 사망했다고 밝히고 있지만, 세계보건기구는 이중 63명이 조류독감에 의해 사망한 것으로 확인했습니다.
한편 중국 관영 신화통신은 동부 안휘성에 사는 열여섯살 난 한 소년이 조류독감으로 사망했다고 밝혔습니다. 세계보건기구는 지난 2005년 처음으로 조류독감이 발생한 이래 중국에서 모두 14명이 사망했다고 말했습니다.

Health officials in Indonesia say three more people have died of bird flu.
A Health Ministry official said a 39-year-old man died today (Wednesday) in Surabaya, the country's second largest city. A teenage boy and a 22-year-old woman died of the disease earlier this week.
Bird flu has hit Indonesia harder than any other country. Indonesian authorities say the disease has killed 69 people, while World Health Organization figures confirm 63 bird flu deaths.
Meanwhile, Chinese state media (Xinhua News Agency) report that a 16-year-old boy from eastern Anhui province has died from bird flu. The WHO says 14 people have died from bird flu in China since its first known case in 2005.
Bird flu has killed at least 169 people worldwide, mostly in Asia.
