미국 방문일정을 마치고 귀국길에 오른 김 외무부상은 중국, 베이징 공항에서 이같이 말하고 북한은 방코 델타 아시아의 북한 계좌에 대한 금융제재 조치완화를 검토하겠다고 한 미국의 약속이행을 면밀히 주시하고 있다고 밝혔습니다.
김 외무부상은 워싱턴에서 6자회담 미국 수석대표인, 크리스토퍼 힐 국무부 동아시아태평양 담당 차관보와 이틀 동안 회담을 가졌으며 이들의 회담에서는 양측간의 관계정상화 문제가 중점 논의됐습니다.

North Korea's top nuclear negotiator, Kim Kye Kwan, says if the United States fails to lift financial sanctions against Pyongyang, his country will have to respond with "corresponding actions."
Kim said that North Korea is carefully watching to see if the United States fulfills its pledge to look into easing financial restrictions on Banco Delta Asia. Washington accuses the Macau-based bank of abetting North Korean counterfeiting and money-laundering.
Kim was speaking at Beijing's international airport on his way back to North Korea, following two-days of talks earlier this week in Washington with his counterpart, Christopher Hill. The discussions focused on normalizing relations.
Last month, North Korea agreed to dismantle its nuclear program in exchange for aid and moves toward full diplomatic relations with Washington. Washington also agreed to look into easing financial sanctions against the reclusive state within one month of the February 13th agreement.
