일본의 아시히 신문은 4일, 북한이 영변 핵 시설 동결을 댓가로 북한이 연간 50만톤 이상의 원유를 제공해 줄 것을 제의했다고 보도했습니다.

The chief U.S. negotiator on North Korea is meeting top South Korean officials to try to hammer out a strategy for this week's talks on Pyongyang's nuclear ambitions.
U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Hill held last-minute discussions with officials in Seoul today (Sunday) ahead of Thursday's six-nation talks in Beijing.
Hill says he is hopeful about the discussions involving North and South Korea, Russia, China and Japan.
The United States wants the talks to focus on a September 2005 pact in which North Korea agreed to end its nuclear program in exchange for aid and security guarantees.
Japan's Asahi Shimbun reported today (Sunday) that North Korea has offered to suspend its its main nuclear complex in Yongbyon in exchange for more than 500-thousand tons of oil a year.
