이란에서는 최근 보수주의자들과 개혁주의자들이 이란 핵분쟁 대치에 관한 마흐무드 아흐마디네자드 이란 대통령의 태도와 도발적인 발언에 대한 비판을 계속하고 있으나 아흐마디네자드 대통령은 자신에 대한 비판을 맞받아치고 있습니다.
아흐마디네자드 대통령은 18일, 일부 이란 국내 비판자들이 타협을 지지하며 적들의 구호를 되풀이하고 있다면서 자신은 핵개발 계획을 강행해 나갈 것이라고 다짐했다고 이란 국영 텔레비전 방송이 보도했습니다.
이란은 현재 우라늄 농축활동 중단을 요구하는 유엔 안전보장 이사회의 결의를 준수하지 않음으로써 안보리의 제재를 받고 있습니다.그러나 유엔의 핵감시기관인 국제원자력기구I-A-E-A의 모하메드 엘바라데이 사무총장은 유엔의 대이란 제재조치가 이란 핵분쟁을 해결하지 못할 것이라고 지적하면서 제재조치가 이란과 서방세계간의 긴장관계를 오히려 확산시키게 될 것으로 우려한다고 말했습니다.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has lashed out at the domestic critics of his policies in the international standoff over Tehran's nuclear program.
State television quoted Mr. Ahmadinejad as saying today (Thursday) that some of his domestic critics favor compromise and are repeating what he called the enemies' slogans.
Mr. Ahmadinejad vowed to press ahead with the nuclear program.
Conservatives and reformists in Iran in recent weeks have openly challenged Mr. Ahmadinejad's stance on the nuclear issue, and criticized his provocative remarks.
In December, the U.N. Security Council imposed sanctions on Iran because of its refusal to suspend sensitive nuclear activities.
During a visit to Bahrain today, U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates said the Iranians have, in his words, "overplayed their hand" and raised concern in the region by their aggressive behavior.
