일본의 고이즈미 준이치로 전 총리가 북한의 핵 문제를 논의하기 위해 세번째 방북을 고려하고 있는 것으로 알려졌습니다.
7일 일본 언론들에 따르면 고이즈미 전 총리는 6일 밤 집권 자민당의 야마사키 다쿠 전 부총재와 만나 아베 신조 총리의 특사자격으로 북한을 방문할 의사를 밝힌 것으로 알려졌습니다.
고이즈미 전 총리는 야마사키 전 부총재에게 한반도를 비핵화시키는데 기여하고 싶다고 말한 것으로 전해졌습니다.
고이즈미 전 총리는 재임 당시 북한을 두 차례 방문해 북한의 김정일 국방위원장과 회담을 가졌습니다. 지난 2002년 첫 방북때 두 정상은 북한이 모든 핵관련 국제 협약들을 준수하고 미사일 계획을 동결하기로 합의하는 내용의 평양선언문에 서명한바 있습니다.

Japanese media report former Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi is considering a third trip to North Korea to discuss that nation's nuclear ambitions.
The reports today (Thursday) say Koizumi told a senior ruling party lawmaker (Taku Yamasaki) that he would be willing to go to North Korea to act as a special envoy for Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
While prime minister, Koizumi twice traveled to North Korea for meetings with President Kim Jong Il. During the first visit in 2002, the two leaders signed a declaration in which the North agreed to honor all international nuclear treaties and freeze its missile program.
Koizumi reportedly told Yamasaki that he would like to help denuclearize the Korean Peninsula.
Negotiators to the six-party talks on North Korea's nuclear program are trying to agree on a date for resumption of talks.
