U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney has arrived in Saudi Arabia for talks on issues including how to stop the sectarian violence in Iraq.
Cheney is expected to ask Saudi officials to use their influence with Iraq's Sunni Arab minority to help stabilize the country. U.S. officials say the Saudi government has been a strong ally in the region.
The vice president's talks with King Abdullah also will include the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the situation in Lebanon.
