독일 정부는 7일, 아프가니스탄 북부 바글란 주에서 2명의 독일인 기자들이 무장세력들에 의해 살해된 데 대해 이를 비난했습니다.
독일의 프랑크-발터 슈타인마이어 외무장관은 이날, 두명의 [도이체 벨레]지 기자들에 대한 매복공격은 흉악하고 무분별한 것이라고 말했습니다.
슈타인마이어 장관은 두 기자들의 피살은 아프가니스탄에서 안보를 강화하겠다는 독일의 결의를 더욱 굳혀줄 뿐이라고 밝혔습니다.
이에 앞서 무장세력들이 도로변 폭탄과 소화기로 연합군의 순찰차를 매복 공격해 이 차에 타고 있던 캐나다 군 한명이 사망했습니다.
NATO군 성명은 이번 공격이 치안이 불안한 칸다하르 주의 판즈와이 지역에서 일어났다고 밝혔습니다.

Berlin has condemned the killing of two German journalists in Afghanistan's northern Baghlan province.
German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier today (Saturday) called the ambush of two Deutsche Welle employees atrocious and senseless. He said the killings have strengthened Germany's commitment to increasing security in Afghanistan.
Earlier, a Canadian soldier died when militants ambushed his patrol with a roadside bomb and small arms fire. A NATO statement said the attack occurred in the volatile Panjwayi district of Kandahar province.
Taleban attacks have surged in Afghanistan this year with attacks on military positions as well as suicide and car bombings.
The coalition offensive that toppled the Taleban from power was launched exactly five years ago with air strikes on al-Qaida terrorist training camps and Taleban military installations.
