South Korean officials have observed vehicle movement at a North Korean missile base, but say there is no indication Pyonyang is preparing to test its weapons.
Officials in Seoul said today (Sunday) intelligence agents have detected movements in North Korea's Gitdaeryeong area, where seven missiles were test-launched in July.
South Korea's Yonhap news agency called the movements "suspicious" and said they could indicate North Korea is preparing more missile tests.
But South Korean officials familiar with defense issues downplayed the report today (Sunday).
The U.N. Security Council passed a resolution to impose weapons-related sanctions on North Korea in response to its missile tests. Pyongyang rejected the move and threatened to take stronger action.
