이라크의 수도 바그다드에 있는 시아파 회교사원에서 자살폭탄 테러가 발생해 적어도 열명이 숨지고, 20명 이상이 다쳤다고 이라크 당국자들이 말했습니다. 이라크 경찰은 금요 기도회를 앞두고 자동차 통행이 금지된 가운데, 테러분자가 부라타 사원으로 걸어 들어가 자폭했다고 말했습니다.

이번 공격은 누리 알-말리키 총리가 종파간 폭력사태와 알-카에다 테러대원들의 공격을 뿌리뽑기 위해, 바그다드에 대규모 보안단속을 지시했음에도 불구하고 발생했습니다.

Iraqi authorities say a suicide bomber struck a Shi'ite mosque in Baghdad shortly before Friday prayers, killing at least 10 people and injuring more than 20 others.
Police say the bomber walked into the (Buratha) mosque as vehicle traffic was banned during prayer hours. The same mosque was hit on April seventh with a triple suicide bombing that killed more than 70 people.
In a separate incident today, a mortar barrage slammed into a commercial area of northern Baghdad, killing two people and wounding 16 others.
The attacks took place despite a massive security clampdown in the capital ordered by Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki in an effort to stem sectarian violence and attacks by al-Qaida insurgents.
Tens of thousands of Iraqi and U.S. -led coalition troops have been deployed in the city since Wednesday.
