팔레스타인의 집권세력인 하마스는, 경쟁자인 [파타당]과의 긴장을 완화하기 위해 철수한지 하룻만에 다시 가자지구 거리에 논란많은 민병대들을 배치했습니다.
하마스 민병대 대변인은 27일, 민병대들은 경찰로서 중립을 지킬 것이라고 밝혔지만, 마흐무드 압바스 자치수반의 파타당은 이같은 움직임을 도발이라고 비난했습니다. 하마스는 또한 압바스 자치수반이 이스라엘과 함께 팔레스타인 국가의 2국가 해결안의 개념을 받아들이도록 설정한 시한을 거부했습니다.
하마스의 한 관계관은 하마스는 정파간의 회담 결과에 편견을 갖게 할 수 있는 최후통첩을 수용하지 않을 것이라고 말했습니다. 이에 앞서 지난 25일, 압바스 자치수반은 하마스가 10일내에 2국가 해결안을 받아들이지 않으면 이 제안에 대한 국민투표를 요구할 것이라고 말했습니다.

The Palestinian governing group Hamas has sent its controversial militia back onto the streets of Gaza, one day after withdrawing it in a bid to ease tensions with the rival Fatah faction.
A spokesman for the Hamas militia (Youssef Zahar) said the militia will work neutrally as a police force, but the Fatah faction of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called the move a provocation.
Hamas also has rejected a deadline set by Mr. Abbas to accept the concept of a two-state solution of a Palestinian state alongside Israel. A Hamas official said the group does not accept ultimatums that can prejudice the outcome of talks between the factions.
Mr. Abbas said Thursday that if Hamas does not accept a two-state solution within 10 days, he will call for a national referendum on the proposal.
