이라크에서 근 석달 동안 인질로 억류됐다 풀려난 미국의 질 캐롤 기자가 미국에 도착했습니다.
캐롤기자는 지난 달 30일 석방된 뒤 독일에서 비행기 편으로 보스톤에 2일 도착했습니다.
캐롤 씨는 보스톤에 도착하기 앞서 보스톤에 도착하기 전 캐롤씨는 성명을 발표하고, 이라크에 있는 납치범들이 자신으로 하여금 미군의 이라크 주둔에 반대하는 말을 비데오에 담도록 강요했다고 밝혔습니다. 캐롤 기자는 납치범들이 그와같은 말을 할 경우 자신을 풀어주겠다고 말했다고 밝혔습니다.
미국 크리스찬 사이언스 모니터 신문 소속의 프리랜서 기자인 캐롤 씨는 자신의 석방을 위해 노력한 미국과 이라크 정부 관계자들에게 고마움을 표하고 미군과 동료 기자들에게도 감사의 뜻을 전했습니다.

Freed American hostage Jill Carroll has arrived in the United States after being held for nearly three months in Iraq.
The freelance journalist landed in Boston today (Sunday) on a flight from Germany, where she was flown after being released Thursday.
Before arriving in Boston, Carroll released a statement saying her captors in Iraq forced her to make a video speaking out against the U.S. presence in Iraq. The journalist says she was told she would be released if she made the video.
Carroll also thanked those in the U.S. and Iraqi governments who worked to secure her release. She also expressed gratitude to the U.S. military and her fellow journalists.
