지난 1일부터 파업을 벌였던 한국의 철도노조가 파업을 철회하고 업무에 복귀하겠다고 밝혔습니다. 철도노조 대변인은 4일 철도 서비스는 6일까지 완전 정상화될 것이라면서 그러나 노동 현안들은 아직 해결되지 않았으며 협상이 계속될 것이라고 말했습니다.
한국에서는 약 1만6천 철도 근로자들이 1일 부터 파업하는 바람에 전국의 노선 절반 이상의 운행이 중단됐으며 2백여만명의 이용객들이 큰 불편을 겪었습니다.
파업은 국영 철도공사와 철도노조 간의 협상이 결렬되면서 시작됐습니다. 노조는 임금인상과 근로조건 개선을 요구했습니다.

A spokesman for South Korean rail workers says the group has decided to end its strike and return to work.
The spokesman said today (Saturday) in Seoul train service will be fully restored by Monday. But he says labor issues have yet to be settled, and negotiations will continue.
About 16 thousand union workers walked off the job Wednesday, cutting train service in the country by more than half. About two million train passengers were left to face delays and crowded trains.
The strike began when negotiations between state-funded Korea Railroad and the Korean Railway Workers' Union broke down. Union workers have been demanding higher wages and better working conditions.
