한국의 노무현 대통령은 과거 전시 합당치 못한 것으로 보여 일본으로 하여금 사죄하도록 만들고 있는 모든 행위를 종식할 것을 일본에게 촉구했습니다.
노무현 대통령은 1일 전국에 텔레비젼으로 방영된 제87주년 삼일절 기념사에서 일본이 이미 제2차 세계대전 당시 자행한 행위들에 대해 사과해 왔음을 지적했습니다.
노 대통령은 그러나 일본 지도자들이 신사참배 등 사과내용에 부합되는 행위를 계속하고 있는데 대해 한국인들은 분노하고 있다며, 일본정부는 이같은 행위를 중단해야할 것이라고 말했습니다.
노무현 대통령의 이같은 발언에 대해, 일본의 아베 신조 관방장관은 한국에게 그동안 일본이 민주주의와 자유, 인권을 지키기위해 노력해온 것을 고려할 것을 촉구했습니다.

South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun is urging Japan to end all actions that make Tokkyo's apologies for its wartime past seem insincere.
In a nationally televised speech marking the anniversary of the 1919 Korean uprising against Japanese colonial rule, Mr. Roh noted that Japan has apologized for its actions.
But Mr. Roh said South Korea is upset with Japanese leaders for deeds he says negate the apologies.
He referred to Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi's visits to the Yasukuni shrine, which honors Japan's war dead, including convicted war criminals.
Mr. Roh also mentioned Tokyo's approval last year of history books, which many Asian neighbors say whitewash Japan's militaristic past.
In response to Mr. Roh's comments, Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary, Shinzo Abe, urged South Korea to consider Japan's protection of democracy, freedom and human rights.
