26일의 집회는 운전 기사 및 경호원과 함께 납치 살해된 야당 지도자, 알틴베크 사르센바예프를 추모하기 위한 것이었습니다. 총격을 받은 이들의 시신은 지난 2월 13일 알마티 시 부근에서 발견됐습니다.

At least one thousand people have marched through Kazakhstan's largest city, Almaty, to commemorate a slain opposition leader in defiance of a ban on public protests.
Today's (Sunday) rally was held in memory of Altynbek Sarsenbayev, who was abducted and killed along with his bodyguard and a driver. Their bullet-riddled bodies were found on February 13 near Almaty.
Opposition supporters demanded that those responsible be brought to justice and some in the crowd called for President Nursultan Nazarbayev's resignation.
Riot police patrolled the streets but the protest ended without incident.
