The Iranian news agency says key members of the Iranian parliament will visit member states of the United Nations Security Council, for talks on Iran's nuclear ambitions.
The agency says lawmakers will visit all Security Council countries except the United States. No dates were given for the visits, but it is expected they will take place ahead of a March sixth council session scheduled to hear Western charges that Iran's nuclear program violates a key nuclear treaty.
Iran restarted its suspect uranium enrichment program earlier this month, after the International Atomic Energy Agency reported Tehran to the Security Council for its alleged non-compliance with the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
Since then, Tehran has sought to ease tensions. Iranian diplomats are expected in Moscow Monday for talks on a Western-backed proposal that would have Russian engineers supervise uranium enrichment for Tehran.
