이라크 수도 바그다드와 키르쿠크의 교회들에서 차량폭탄 공격이 발생해 최소한 3명이 사망하고 수 명이 부상했다고 이라크 경찰이 밝혔습니다.
경찰은 키르쿠크의 교회 2곳과 바그다드의 교회 4곳등 6개 교회 밖에서 거의 같은 시간에 차량들이 폭발했다고 전했습니다. 이번 폭발은 이라크 당국이 사담 후세인 전 이라크 대통령에 대한 재판을 다음달 초로 연기한 직후 일어났습니다.
후세인과 일부 피고 및 변호인들은 새 주심판사가 후세인의 이복형제인 바르잔 알-티크리티에 대해 퇴정을 명령하자 자신들도 퇴장했습니다.
또다른 사태발전으로 후세인의 고향 티크리트에서는 29일 자살 폭탄테러가 발생해 이라크 병사 4명이 사망했습니다. 또 바그다드 남쪽에서는 저항분자들의 공격으로 10명이 사망했습니다.

Iraqi police say car bomb attacks at churches in Baghdad and Kirkuk have killed at least three people and wounded several others.
They say the cars exploded at nearly the same time outside two churches in Kirkuk and four in Baghdad.
The blasts came shortly after Iraqi authorities adjourned the trial of ousted dictator Saddam Hussein until at least Wednesday. Saddam, some co-defendants and his lawyers stormed out of court today (Sunday) after the new presiding judge expelled Saddam's half brother, co-defendant Barzan al-Tikriti.
In other violence today (Sunday), a suicide car bomber killed four Iraqi soldiers near Saddam's hometown of Tikrit. Another insurgent attack killed 10 people south of Baghdad.
