중국과 베트남, 일본 등 세 나라에서 조류 인플루엔자, AI 바이러스의 확산을 억제하기 위한 노력에도 불구하고 또 새로운 조류 인플루엔자 발병사례가 나타났습니다.
중국 랴오닝성 바다오하오 마을에서 지난 10월 26일에 조류 인플루엔자가 발생해 약 9천 마리의 닭들이 폐사했으며 가축보건 당국이 37만 마리의 닭들을 도살폐기했습니다. 그러나 중국에서 아직까지 조류 인플루엔자 바이러스의 인체감염 사례는 보고된 것이 없습니다.
베트남의 경우에도 수도 하노이 북쪽의 박 기앙성내 마을 세 곳에서 조류 인플루엔자가 발생해 가금류 3천 여 마리가 감염 폐사하거나 도살 폐기됐습니다.
한편, 일본의 가축보건 당국은 4일, 도오쿄 인근 이바라키현의 한 농장에서 AI 바이러스 검출징후가 나타남에 따라 18만 마리의 닭들을 도살 폐기할 방침이라고 말했습니다.

China, Vietnam and Japan have reported fresh outbreaks of bird flu, despite efforts to contain the virus. The latest Chinese outbreak, discovered on October 26th, killed nearly nine-thousand chickens and prompted officials to cull nearly 370-thousand other birds in Badaohao, a village in Liaoning province, east of Beijing. So far, no human cases of bird flu have been reported in China.
In Vietnam, more than three-thousand poultry died or were culled this week in three villages in Bac Giang province, north of the capital of Hanoi. The areas are under close watch and authorities have imposed a quarantine.
Japanese officials said today (Friday) they will destroy 180-thousand chickens after signs of the virus were found on a farm in eastern Ibaraki prefecture near Tokyo.
