The former chairman of South Korea's collapsed Daewoo Group, a fugitive for nearly six years, is expected to return this week to Seoul, where authorities say he will be immediately arrested.
Local media say (today / Sunday that) Kim Woo-choong is expected to return to South Korea on Tuesday. He is likely to be arrested upon arrival in the country (at Incheon International Airport near the capital).
Mr. Kim has been wanted on embezzlement and fraud charges since the Daewoo Group, once South Korea's second-largest conglomerate, collapsed under billions of dollars of debt.
Police believe Mr. Kim has been in Europe for most of the time since fleeing South Korea. He reportedly has traveled on a French passport.
