홍콩 당국은 지난 18일, 투엔 문 공원의 조류들을 격리시키고 검사한뒤 이같이 밝혔습니다.
세계보건기구, WHO는 홍콩을 1997년 조류 인플루엔자 바이러스가 사람에게 감염된 최초의 지역으로 규정한 바 있습니다.

Authorities had removed the bird from Tuen Mun Park on November 18th for tests and confirmed the infection Saturday.
The World Health Organization lists Hong Kong as the site of the first confirmed human cases of the disease in 1997.
The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department has advised people to avoid contact with wild birds and live poultry and to wash their hands after contact with them.
The virus is mainly passed on to humans through contact with infected poultry. But experts fear the virus could spark a pandemic if it were to mutate into a form easily transmissible upon human-to-human contact.
