A bomb has ripped through a crowded market in Baghdad, killing three people as the country prepares for the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr.

The bomb (today/Sunday) exploded in the Shurja marketplace, which was filled with people buying goods for the holiday which marks the end of Ramadan.

President Bush reviewed his strategy for Iraq with top advisors and military commanders Friday and Saturday. He said the United States may adjust its tactics in Iraq, but the goal remains the same.

The New York Times newspaper quotes U.S. officials as saying the Bush administration is drafting a timetable for the Iraqi government to address sectarian divisions and take on a greater role in security. The White House said the report was not accurate, but did not specify what was wrong with it.
