영국 맨체스터 공항 항공기 주기장 근처에서 수상한 행동을 하던 남자가 반테러리즘법 위반 혐의로 영국경찰에 체포됐습니다.

영국 경찰은 이 수상한 남자를 체포하고 그가 지니고 있던 의심스러운 소지품에 폭발물이 있는지 검사하는 동안 공항의 일부지역이 일시  폐쇄됐습니다.

한편, 영국 런던법원은지난 7월 21일 런던 대중교통 수단에 대한 폭발물 테러미수 관련 용의자 함디 이삭을 12월 21일까지 구속하도록 명령했습니다.

에티오피아 태생 영국 시민인 함디 이삭은 런던 폭발물 테러미수 사건 관련 용의자로 수배돼 이탈리아에서 체포된후 영국에 인도됐습니다.

British police at Manchester airport have arrested a man under anti-terrorism laws after he was seen acting suspiciously in the area where aircraft are parked.

Authorities detained the suspect after a brief struggle and they carried out a controlled explosion on a suspicious package he was carrying. They closed parts of the airport while investigating the incident.

There is no information on what was in the package.

Meanwhile, a court in London ordered Ethiopian-born Hussain Osman, also known as Hamdi Issac, held in custody until December eight, in connection with the failed series of bombings on London's transit system July 21st. He was extradited from Italy Thursday.

In another terrorism case, a London court sentenced Muslim convert Andrew Row to 15 years in prison for possessing items of use to terrorists.

He was arrested near the Channel Tunnel in 2003 with a code book for terrorism and notes on details for making mortars..
