Jackson Returns to Neverland Ranch After Acquittal

Pop music star Michael Jackson has returned to his Neverland Ranch a free man after being acquitted of child molestation charges.

A jury in Santa Maria, (in the western U.S. state of ) California found Jackson not guilty of all ten counts against him Monday. Prosecutors had alleged that the pop star gave alcohol to a 13-year-old boy and then molested him at the singer's ranch two years ago.

The jurors who acquitted Jackson said they did not like or trust the young accuser's mother, and also had trouble with the prosecution's timeline of events.

The jury foreman said the eight women and four men on the jury had decided from the start of deliberations to treat the 46-year-old Jackson just like any other individual, and not a celebrity.

Jackson fans around the world are celebrating the not-guilty verdict, while some others have expressed surprise.
