Russian President Vladimir Putin says he is ready to cooperate with Kyrgyzstan's opposition and would not object if ousted Kyrgyz President Askar Akayev sought refuge in Russia

Speaking today (Friday) in Armenia, Mr. Putin said Krygyzstan's opposition had done much to establish good relations with Russia. He said Moscow would do its best to maintain good relations.

He added that he hoped the opposition leaders would re-establish order soon in their country.
